Welcome!
Just as the human body has many "members" or parts, each with their own special function, so the Church is made up of unique individuals who bring unique gifts to the Church and God's mission to make Christ known.
Trinity Lutheran Church is part of that body of Christ, called into ministry, work, and witness in La Crosse. We're a congregation rich in history and heritage; on the brink of a new chapter in our life together! Through our worship, through our learning together, through our working together, we're seeking how to best serve Jesus and our neighbors in this place and time. We believe exciting things are happening in this body of believers and we're anxious to welcome others to join us in this excitement. Come on along!

Dear Friends,
Christmas comes with a lot of baggage, doesn’t it? I’m sitting down to write this just days before Christmas, feeling a bit out of breath and more than a little bit overwhelmed by what the end of December brings each year: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day worship to ready for, a house to get in order for the impending tsunami of visiting family, and all of the other preparations that go into getting set for the last days of the year. Most of it is pretty good stuff, even if it gets a little crazy sometimes.
But by the time you read this, Christmas celebrations will be behind us for the most part, and the turning of the calendar will have us in a new year. Something will have ended, and some-thing new will have begun.
The longer we live, and the more Christmases and New Years we have under our belts, I wonder if we don’t start to feel the endings more than the beginnings. Kids seem to enter a new year focused on the anticipation of what will be NEW: getting that drivers license, taking that Hunter Safety Certification Course, heading off to college, getting that first real job, getting the training wheels off the bike, etc. But for us a little further down the road, the prospect of a new year can leave us shaking in our boots, wondering what’ll be the next thing to end: my hearing, my eyesight, my knees, my short-term memory or my waist-line!
